Renewing Your Mind with the Word of God podcast is a verse by verse, chapter by chapter study of the Word of God. The podcast’s name is from Romans 12:2 which says “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” How do we renew our minds? by studying the Word of God, which is found in the Bible.
In this episode of Renewing Your Mind with the Word of God, we walk verse-by-verse through Acts 9:20-31 and witness one of the most stunning transformations in Scripture: Saul, the fierce persecutor of the church, becomes its boldest preacher.
Immediately after his encounter with the risen Jesus, Saul enters the synagogues of Damascus and begins proclaiming that Jesus is the Son of God and the promised Messiah. His Pharisee training, once used to hunt down believers, now becomes a powerful tool for defending the gospel. We’ll explore how God uses Saul’s background, why the Jewish leaders plotted to kill him, and how he escaped Damascus lowered in a basket through the city wall.
