Renewing Your Mind with the Word of God podcast is a verse by verse, chapter by chapter study of the Word of God. The podcast’s name is from Romans 12:2 which says “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” How do we renew our minds? by studying the Word of God, which is found in the Bible.

In this episode, we  finish chapter 8 of the Book of John.  We look at verses 46-59.  Jesus is still in the Temple’s court area responding to the Pharisees’ challenge to who He is and His authority. When Jesus challenges the Pharisees to point to any sin He has committed and they can’t, because Jesus is sinless, so they start to insult Jesus. They called Him a “Samaritan” which was the lowest of insults because the Jews despised them as corrupt, half-breeds. They also called Jesus demon possessed.  In turn, Jesus continued to tell the truth of if they would obey Him they would never die.  Ultimately, Jesus reveals to them and everyone listening that He is God by identifying as “I AM.” All the Jews knew Jesus was saying He was God by saying He was “I AM.”  As a result , they tried to stone Him.
