Renewing Your Mind with the Word of God podcast is a verse by verse, chapter by chapter study of the Word of God. The podcast’s name is from Romans 12:2 which says “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” How do we renew our minds? by studying the Word of God, which is found in the Bible.

In this episode, we start chapter 5 of the Gospel of John. We cover verses 1-14.  Jesus heals a man who had been crippled for almost 40 years on the Sabbath. When the religious leaders discover that Jesus did this on the Sabbath, this will spark their persecution of Jesus. Instead of being happy for the man, the Jewish leaders are upset that someone dared break one of their laws. Not God’s law, but their law.  As we know,  their persecution of Jesus will continue until they have him killed.
